Salvos Stores is the retail arm of The Salvation Army Australia Southern Territory and operates over 200 retail stores in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. Salvos Stores operates as a fully functioning retail business, recycling pre-loved goods and relying heavily on the generosity of the public. Salvos Stores has a number of vacancies for a suitably qualified person for the position of MR Driver/Furniture Removalist located at Salvos Stores Deer Park Warehouse, reporting directly to the Logistics Supervisor. The RoleYour role as MR Driver/Furniture Removalist will include but not be limited to:Ensure the timely and accurate collection of goods from donor properties, clothing banks and Salvos Stores, this includes but is not limited to rejecting and documenting unsaleable goodsEnsure the timely and accurate distribution of goods to stores, this includes but is not limited to assisting Store Managers with the storage of goods as requiredEnsure the timely and safe removal of rubbish from Salvos Stores’ sites as directedComplete routine documentation in a timely and accurate mannerMaintain the professional presentation of Salvos Stores propertyAssist retail staff as required YouAs the successful applicant you will have the following attributes:Current Medium Rigid licence3+ years experience driving MR TrucksWell presentedDeliver extraordinary customer serviceBe an energetic, team playerHave the initiative and drive to go the extra mileAbility to drive truck safely and operate lifting gear Working for Salvos Stores is a rewarding experience, which goes beyond a normal job and allows you to give something back to the community.
