Salvos Stores operates as a fully functioning retail business, recycling preloved goods and relying heavily on the generosity of the public. Salvos Stores has a vacancy for a suitably qualified person for the position of Warehouse Supervisor located at Salvos Stores Noble Park Distribution Centre, reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager. The RoleYour role as Warehouse Supervisor will include but not be limited to:Assist the Senior Operations Manager in Warehouse management as requiredSupervise the Distribution Warehouse in daily operationsSupervise the collection of donations, this includes but is not limited to organising trucks, drivers and jockeys to ensure that the specified runs to collect donations are completed and/or distributed in an efficient manner per the run sheet.Supervise inventory management and stock control of the Distribution CentreSupervise distribution of goods to stores, this includes but is not limited to organising transport of warehouse stock, purchased goods and central buying goodsSupervise the collection of goods from stores, this includes but is not limited to ensuring excess needs requests from stores are actioned within three days and organising the removal of rubbish and unsaleable goods in a timely mannerEnsure distribution centre budgets are maintained and adhered toMaintain strict stock control processes to ensure shrinkage is kept to a minimumComplete other warehouse duties, including Driver duties, as required by the Senior Operations Manager YouAs the successful applicant you will have the following attributes:Effective leadership & motivation of a team of staff/volunteersEnsure company policies and procedures are adhered toLead by examplePossess outstanding communication skillsHave the initiative and drive to go the extra mileExcellent organisational skillsForklift licence & experienceCurrent Medium Rigid Licence As someone known for your integrity, you will relate to The Salvation Army Values.
