This is a highly rewarding but challenging role located in Mount Waverley at our Salvos Stores Support Office, reporting directly to Salvos Stores’ Chief Executive Officer. The roleAs a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Customer and Strategy will play an integral part in developing and deploying the customer strategy across the Southern Territory to drive and grow sales, surplus and customer count. This position is designed to provide the tools and support to enable other functions to deliver value to customers on an ongoing basis. In addition, the incumbent is expected to participate as an Executive Board Member of Salvos Stores. Duties and Responsibilities Your role as Head of Customer and Strategy will include but not be limited to the following:Develop, deploy and maintain a Customer Strategy to enable growth on customer valueDevelop Product, Marketing, Digital, Store Experience and Communications Strategies in line with the Customer StrategyCreate and monitor metrics in relation to strategy implementationForecast and monitor functions budgetOversee Marketing, Product and eCommerce team activitiesWork closely with Retail Operations, head of support functions and stakeholders to ensure that the customer experience is consistent and supportedYou As the successful applicant you will have the following attributes:Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Strategy, Digital or Customer Engagement (or a present willingness to undertake further study beyond undergraduate studies in Business)Experience in developing and driving Customer StrategiesMinimum 5 years’ experience in retail sectorsExperience managing large organisational projectsMinimum 5 years’ people management experienceMinimum 5 years’ in a senior leadership role (not for profit preferred)Exceptional analytical problem solving skillsStrong budgeting and forecasting skillsStrong ability to influence senior business leaders and key stakeholders Working for Salvos Stores is a rewarding experience, which goes beyond a normal job and allows you to give something back to the community.
