Then this could be the job for you. Salvos Stores has a vacancy for a suitably qualified person for the position of Regional Manager – Victoria/Tasmania, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. You will also be required to be a member of Salvos Stores Executive Board. The Regional Manager is required to manage the Victoria/Tasmania State Office in Richmond, including the administrative team. That said, the Regional Manager is expected to be fully mobile, to attend stores and other offices as required, in both the Regional Manager and Executive Board member capacities. Your role as Regional Manager is one of the most important within the company and you will be responsible for the following functions: Lead a team of 8 Area Managers towards budgetary benchmarks across 119 stores.Lead a culture of extraordinary customer service and ‘safety first’ throughout the Region.Train, motivate and mentor employees and volunteers, directly and through the Area Management team.As a member of the Executive Board, contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation.Designate, implement, monitor and ensure adherence to a high standard of second-hand retailing, stock management, store presentation and overall customer experience within the region.Identification of new revenue streams including (but not limited to) new store openings, store relocations, refurbishments, etc.  The ideal candidate: Possesses excellent management and leadership abilities, refined through a career which includes at least 5 years of proven results in a multi-site retail management.Be able to demonstrate a high degree of initiative yet also contribute as a team player when discharging Executive Board responsibilities.Brings a level of retail expertise to the organisation, in such fields as stock management, buying, planning, merchandising, promotions and customer service.Has outstanding written and verbal communication skills demonstrated in communicating to all levels of an organisation.Is a high energy, hands-on individual with the ability to achieve results by positively motivating those around them.Knows what it means to provide extraordinary customer service, and is able to instil that culture successfully into others.Has sound financial and general business acumen. Understands complex financial data, yet can keep it simple when communicating with others.Is willing and able to travel between metropolitan and regional Areas as required.
